The Madeleine Choir School, a mission of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Salt Lake City and a service of the Cathedral of the Madeleine, is an elementary school for children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Eight. Established in 1996, the school continues the cathedral tradition of preparing young people to engage the culture with the Catholic intellectual, artistic, moral and religious tradition. The Choir School pursues rigorous academic curricula in the humanities, mathematics and sciences, and the arts.

Some quick reminders…
- Students should not be on campus prior to 8:00 AM for safety reasons. If there is an emergency and you are early, please send your child to the school office (open at 7:30 AM).
- Avoid crossing the street except at designated crosswalks. We are trying to encourage the children to safely make use of the crosswalks, as this is a busy traffic zone of the neighborhood.
- If you have reason to believe that your child has been bullied, please contact us as soon as possible. If you are aware that your child has exhibited bullying behavior, please insist that the behavior stop immediately and discuss with them more appropriate ways of interacting with others.
- Remember not to park in the Cathedral parking lot before school. Use the LDS Ward parking lot on the corner of Second Avenue and A Streets. A parking pass to be displayed in your window can be obtained from the office free of charge.
- If you are a coach or club director for a school sponsored activity be careful that all children are accounted for at the end of your session. If a child has not been picked up in a timely way, please take them to Extended Care. No children should be unattended on the campus after 3:45 PM.
- . We are trying our best to maintain Choir School standards while accommodating the situation as inherited from last year. We will work over the next two years to make this process easier.
