Note from the Chairpersons

Dear Friends -  

As the Honorary Chairpersons for The Madeleine Choir School’s Capital and Endowment Campaign, we wish to share with you the importance of this special school. The Madeleine Choir School is the only choir school in the United States open to both boys and girls. The school provides a unique combination of classical liberal arts training, rigorous musical instruction, and strong character formation. This foundation of learning enables the school to influence future generations of responsible community leaders.

In a short nine years, the Choir School has doubled its enrollment, traveled on four international performance tours, and performed with The Utah Symphony & Opera, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The school has sent students to higher institutes of learning such as Juilliard, Boston College, Dartmouth, and Indiana University.

We are pleased with the initial progress of this campaign, which has raised $4.25 million for the purchase of a new campus and a permanent home in the historic Avenues neighborhood.Our goal for the campus is to modernize aging facilities, increase opportunities for more students to gain this first-rate education, and preserve the buildings that are so important to the historic fabric of our community.

We sing the praises of this school and we are thrilled to help expand the fine art of education in Utah. We hope you will join us in supporting The Madeleine Choir School.
